Victim Seema Pariyar, 20 of Duduwa Village council-5 has accused her family members of pressurizing her to leave home on charge of inter caste marriage. She alleged her families by organizing a press meet on June 2 in Nepalgunj.
She had a love marriage with 22 years old Prem Prakash Chettri, one year ago in the village. She accused her husband Prem, mother in law Hira Chetri of pressurizing her to leave the house and even compelling to abort a baby. She added “ the family members have tortured me many times on the issue of being a lower caste”. She added that the family members have rejected the food touched by her.
She alleged her family members of discriminating her in many occasion over the caste issue.
However, her husband denied the entire allegation. ASI Shyam Kumari Paija of DPO said that the family is in dispute for a long time and this issue will be settled in an agreement.
