On September 20, 2025, three youths entered the house of a 22-year-old woman, covered her mouth, and took her to a field where they gang-raped her. After the incident, the accused fled the scene, leaving the victim unconscious, according to the statement she gave to the police.
The victim was rescued and taken to Bheri Hospital, Nepalgunj, for treatment with the support of the Area Police Office, Dhampur, and locals. Since no formal complaint identifying the accused has been filed, their identities remain unknown. However, police are conducting search and investigation as per Sub-Inspector Rajendra Basnet of the Area Police Office, Dhampur.
