The skeletal remains of Bibek Rasaili,22, from Khadadevi Rural Municipality-6, Ramechhap, were found on 16 September on the fourth floor of Bhatbhateni Supermarket in Koteshwar, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32 as per police spokesperson SP Apilraj Bohara. The remains were found around 9:30 am and were initially unidentifiable, but SP Bohara confirmed, based on a nearby SIM card found at the scene, that they belonged to Rasaili.
SP Apilraj Bohara stated that the body was taken to the Teaching Hospital for postmortem. According to him, Rasaili’s family had also reported him missing to the police. Earlier, six bodies were found at the Bhatbhateni Supermarket in Chuchepati, Kathmandu. With this, the total number of deaths during the protest has reached 74.
