During the Gen-Z protest on 9 September 2025, three people from Dolakha lost their lives in Kathmandu and Pokhara. The deceased are Mahesh Budhathoki,22, from Bigu Rural Municipality-3, Swasthani Khadka,26, from Baiteshwor Rural Municipality–8, and 22-year-old Abhisek Chaulagai from Shailung Rural Municipality-4.
Mahesh Budhathoki, who was critically injured by gunfire in Koteshwor, Kathmandu on 9 September 2025, died during treatment. Similarly, in Pokhara Metropolitan City-9, protesters set fire to a car showroom on 9 September. During cleanup, a burnt body was discovered on 11 September, later identified as Swasthani Khadka.
During the protests in Maharajgunj on 9 September, Abhisek Chaulagai was shot and died as a result of his injuries.
