According to INSEC district representative Natibabu Dhital, Chief District Officer Bandhu Prasad Bastola stated that, considering peace and security, the District Administration Office of Sindhupalchok has imposed an indefinite curfew across the district from 10:00 pm on 9 September. Defying the curfew, a group of 35-40 protesters attacked the Bhimtar Police Post in Indrawati Rural Municipality-7 on the night of 9 September. Inspector Rupesh Shah of the District Police Office reported that police constable Ramprasad Nepal was injured in the attack. Following the attack, the police post was merged with the Nawalpur Police Post. The attack resulted in arson at the police post in front of the station, and the station building itself was damaged by pelting stones.
According to INSEC district representative Nabaraj Pathik, the District Administration Office, after assessing the peace and security situation, had initially issued a prohibitory order from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on 10 September. To maintain continuity of the restrictions, a curfew has now been imposed from 6:00 pm on 10 September until 6:00 am on 11 September, prohibiting movement, gatherings, protests, rallies, and riots across all local government offices and ward office locations within the district.
