Taking advantage of the GenZ protest, 435 inmates from two blocks of Kapilvastu jail escaped on the morning of 10 September. The escaped inmates also vandalized and set fire to the nearby Kapilvastu District Court. The arson caused damages, affecting both the building structure and equipment.
