The District Administration Office, Kathmandu, has imposed a curfew within the Ring Road area effective from 8:30 AM on September 9 until further notice. According to the notice, the curfew covers the entire area inside the Ring Road, from the Balkumari Bridge to Koteshwor Chowk, Sinamangal, Gaushala, Chabahil, Narayan Gopal Chowk, Gongabu, Balaju, Swayambhu, Kalanki, Balkhu, and up to the Bagmati River Bridge.
Similarly, the District Administration Office, Lalitpur, has announced a curfew on September 9 from 7:00 AM until midnight. Chief District Officer Suman Ghimire stated that the curfew has been enforced in designated areas of Wards 2, 4, 9, 18, and 25 of Lalitpur Metropolitan City. Wards 18 and 25 include the Bhaisepati area, where the boundaries are defined as: east road from Bhaisepati to Bungamati, west CG Housing and Chobhar Galchi road, north Bishnu Devi Temple below the Gayatri Petrol Pump at Ekantakuna, and south the downhill road towards Itini.
Likewise, prohibition also implies in Ward 2, around Indrani Marg in Sanepa, gatherings, rallies, demonstrations, assemblies, meetings, or blockades. The restricted zone is defined as: from Sanepa Chowk to Indrani Temple paved road in the east, from Balkhu Bridge to Manmohan Park along the Bagmati Corridor Road in the west, from the Ring Road service lane, Balkhu Bridge to Sanepa Chowk in the north, and from Indrani Temple to the Bagmati Corridor paved road in the south.
In Ward 9, Chyasal area, the curfew zone is marked as: to the east the suspension bridge over the Manohara River Corridor, to the west Chyasal Stadium, to the north the Manohara River, and to the south the road leading to Paschim Mal Pokhari. The order was signed by CDO Suman Ghimire on September 9. Likewise, the District Administration Office, Bhaktapur, has also imposed an indefinite curfew starting from 8:30 AM on Tuesday. The curfew applies to Madhyapur Thimi, Suryabinayak, and Bhaktapur Municipality areas, prohibiting movement, gatherings, rallies, demonstrations, assemblies, meetings, or blockades.
The notice issued by the administration clarifies that no movement or public gatherings of any kind will be permitted within the designated areas during the enforcement of the curfew.
