Police arrested Rijaul Nadaf, 28, of Hanspur Municipality-8, Dhanusha, on 23 August for the charge of abducting a 15-year-old girl. According to DSP Shailendra Bhatta, the victim filed a complaint at the Mahottari District Police Office the same day.
She reported that on 20 August, while walking along the road in Bhangaha Municipality-8, the accused lured her to get on his motorbike, claiming he would drop her at the market. Instead, he attempted to take her toward Janakpur. When the girl screamed, the accused abandoned her and fled the scene.
