The District Court Kapilvastu sentenced a 14-year-old boy to one year imprisonment for raping a 15-year-old minor. The bench of Prakash Chandra Adhikari on 5 August sentenced the juvenile to imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 5,000 , Rs 20,000 compensation and Rs 200 to the victim’s relief fund.
The aggrieved party filed a complaint at the Area Police Office, Krishnanagar Kapilvastu on 8 June alleging that the boy had raped the minor on 7 June. The police had arrested the boy on 8 June.
The health examination of the victim was done on 8 June at the Kapilvastu Hospital , Taulihawa.
