The wall at Kabrepokhari Secondary School in Jubhung, Gulmidarwar Rural Municipality–2, collapsed, causing complete destruction to the house of Sandesh Bishwakarma on the night of July 30. Following the incident, Sandesh and his family have been taking shelter at the school.
Sandesh’s wife, children, and aunt were at home during the incident. Sandesh expressed that while the wall collapsed onto the house they tried to escape, but the door couldn’t be opened. They had to break it down to get out and survive.Additionally , he expressed concerns about the difficulties of living in the school with his two-year-old son and four-year-old daughter.
Municipality Chairperson Saroj Thapa stated that the local government would help clear the damaged area using a dozer and provide immediate relief support and arrangements for housing promptly.
