Police arrested Mahendra Tamang, 27 on August 1 for killing his wife Anu Rai, 22, of Namdu, Phidim Municipality–1 with a spade on July 30 during a domestic dispute . Anu died during treatment at B&C Hospital in Birtamod, Jhapa on August 1. The accused, originally from Aahale, Falelung Rural Municipality–7, had been residing at his in-laws’ house in Namdu, Phidim Municipality–1.
The post mortem of the body is prepared to be done at the Mechi Provincial Hospital, Bhadrapur, on August 1.
