Police arrested Bal Krishna Shrestha, 38, of Sundarharaicha Municipality-7, Nayabasti on 20 July for raping a 13-year-old minor. The aggrieved party filed a complaint at the Area Police Office on July 19 alleging that the accused had raped the girl on 17 July. Based on the same complaint, the accused was arrested for investigation on 20 July, according to DSP Kopila Chudal of the District Police Office.
The health examination of the girl was done at the Koshi Hospital on 19 July.
