The District Court has sentenced 34-year-old Bhim Bahadur Sunar to six months of imprisonment on charges of sexually harassing a 10-year-old girl.
On 13 July 2025, the bench of District Court Judge Ashok Kumar Basnet found the accused guilty and sentenced him to six months of imprisonment. In addition, the court imposed a fine of NPR 10,000 and ordered him to pay NPR 40,000 in compensation to the victim, according to District Court Information Officer Padam Aryal.
The victim had filed a complaint on 1 February 2025 on 31 January 2025. The victim underwent a medical examination at Lumbini Provincial Hospital, Butwal, on the same day the complaint was filed. The accused was arrested from his residence later that day.
