Police arrested Bachcha Miya,35, on July 2 on the charge of killing his wife Sahina Khatun, 23, of Matiarwa, Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City-10. The accused attacked Khatun on the head and neck with a sharp weapon during a domestic dispute on July 2, resulting in her death. A team led by SP Santosh Tamang from the District Police Office, Bara reached the incident site immediately after the incident. SP Tamang informed that Miya was arrested AND further investigation is underway.
The aggrieved party filed a complaint against Miya at the District Police Office on July 2. The post-mortem was conducted at Kalaiya Hospital on July 3, and the District Police Office stated that the victim’s family has received the body.
