Saugat Pariyar, 34, and Keshab Pariyar, 23, of Dangisharan Rural Municipality-4 have appealed to INSEC for legal assistance alleging that they were threatened at gunpoint and beaten by Dal Bahadur Budha, 43, Senior Sub-Inspector of the Area Police Office, Hekuli.
According to Saugat Pariyar, the incident occurred around 7:30 PM on June 23 while they were returning home from Tulsipur after a day of labor. He reported that they were stopped on the way and threatened with a pistol for walking at night, followed by beating. Pariyar stated that he was slapped multiple times without any reason. DSP Anil Thakuri of the Area Police Office, Tulshipur, said that they were unaware of the incident but assured an investigation if a complaint is filed.
The victims are still in consultation on whether or not to file a formal complaint against the police and have requested for legal assistance.
