District Court sentenced Tek Bahadur BK,40, of Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City-14 to life imprisonment for raping a nine-year-old girl. The bench of Judge Tej Narayan Paudel on June 25 sentenced the accused with the imprisonment along with a fine Rs 700,000, Rs 40,000 as compensation and Rs 2,800 to be deposited in the victim’s relief fund ,as per Damodar Ghimire, Registrar of the Court.
The aggrieved had party filed a complaint at the District Police Office on September 25,2023 alleging that BK had raped the girl on the same day. Subsequently, police had arrested the accused later that day.The health examination of the victim was done at the Rapti Academy of Health Sciences, Ghorahi on September 25.
