Patients have been facing difficulties due to the lack of an ambulance at the government hospital in Beni. The ambulance in the hospital with registration number Ba 2 Jha 3101, has been out of service for the past 14 months and has not been repaired yet.
Medical Superintendent Dr. Rabi Ranjan Pradhan informed that the hospital has been trying to bring in a new ambulance. He added that they even announced a tender, but no one participated. At present, they are requesting support from donors. The engine of the old ambulance first broke down in 2022. Although the hospital attempted to repair and use it again, the problem could not be fixed. Currently, the ambulance has been parked and out of use.

Ganesh Paudel of Beni Municipality-4 stated that the lack of an ambulance has caused additional difficulties in transporting and referring patients to other hospitals. Furthermore, the hospital administration have informed that they will bring a new ambulance soon through collaboration with donors and further efforts. However, due to financial and procedural complexities, the plan has not yet been fully implemented.
