Police arrested Omprakash Ghartimagar, 23, of Tikapur Municipality-1, Bangaun on June 2 for the charge of raping an 18-year-old woman. Although there was an attempt to settle the case, the victim insisted on pursuing legal action. Following this, the aggrieved party filed a complaint against the accused on June 1 alleging that he had raped the girl at her home on May 29 while she was sleeping. The accused got arrested based on the same complaint and is currently under investigation, said DSP Nabin Raj Budhathoki of the Tikapur Police Office.
The health examination of the victim was done at the Tikapur Hospital on June 2.
