Police arrested Pralad Upreti, 56, of Atharai Rural Municipality-5 on May 11 for raping a 35-year-old woman. The aggrieved party had filed a complaint against the accused at the District Police Office, alleging that he raped the woman on December 29, 2024. Inspector Roshan Kamati of the District Police Office stated that the accused, who had absconded immediately after the complaint was filed, was arrested for investigation from Aathrai Rural Municipality-1.
The health check-up of the aggrieved woman was conducted at the District Hospital on December 29.
