Rawabesi Rural Municipality Declared as Fully Vaccinated Local Level

Rawabesi Rural Municipality has been declared a fully vaccinated and sustainable Rural Municipality. This declaration, made on April 30 was followed by the completion of the indicators outlined in the National Vaccination Guidelines. Across all six wards of Rawabesi, 148 children from birth to 15 months have received regular vaccinations, while 525 children aged 16 months to five years have received full vaccinations. The government has been providing free vaccinations for children from birth to five years against 14 diseases, including BCG, measles-rubella, polio, and Japanese encephalitis.

The certificate of full vaccination assurance and sustainability was handed over by Sanbahadur Rai, the coordinator of the District Vaccination Coordination Committee and Chief of the District Coordination Committee, to Rural Municipality Chief Phatik Kumar Shrestha who is also the Coordinator of the Rural Municipality Vaccination Coordination Committee.

Rawabesi Rural Municipality is the first municipality among all ten local levels in the district to be declared fully vaccinated in the current fiscal year.
