Police arrested Suresh Khadka from Amarghadi Municipality-6 on April 26 for allegedly beating Ward Chairperson KB Tamrakar. DSP Sugandha Shrestha of the District Police Office, Dadeldhura, stated that Tamrakar had filed a complaint on April 25, alleging that Suresh Khadka and his son, Sandesh Khadka, had beaten him near the ward office in Bhajampur while he was returning home from Amarghadi Municipality-7, Pokhara, on April 24.
DSP Shrestha informed that they arrested Suresh Khadka, while a search for Sandesh Khadka is ongoing. Chairperson of Ward No. 10, Khemraj Bhatt, stated that Ward Chairperson KB, who sustained injuries to various parts of his body, has been taken to Kathmandu for treatment. Amargadhi Municipality issued a press release on April 25 demanding legal action against those involved in injuring Ward Chairperson Tamrakar.
