INSEC Chairperson Dr. Kundan Aryal stated the need to present statistical data on human rights violations and abuses in an analytical manner. Speaking at the Nepal Human Rights Yearbook workshop by INSEC on March 21 in Chitwan, Dr. Aryal stated that presenting statistical data on human rights violations and abuses in a systematic and in-depth analytical manner would be more effective.

He added that INSEC is committed to enhancing the research and data collection process to ensure the authenticity of human rights violation incidents. Similarly, INSEC’s Executive Director, Bijay Raj Gautam, mentioned that INSEC has been publishing the Nepal Human Rights Yearbook since 1992. He emphasized the need to digitize all published data and stated that adopting a new format in the future would make the publication more effective.

Expert Binod Bhattarai emphasized the need to revise the Nepal Human Rights Yearbook in the coming days. He stated that the content and quality of the yearbook should be updated in line with the changing times. Chief of the Human Rights Documentation and Dissemination Department, Madan Paudel, highlighted the need for discussions on making the yearbook more effective. He also presented the revised format and plans for the Nepal Human Rights Yearbook.
The program also included discussions on the significance of the yearbook, the effectiveness of its content, and areas for improvement in the future. INSEC has been documenting incidents of human rights violations and abuses every year and publishing them through the Nepal Human Rights Yearbook.
