Police arrested 55-year-old Sushil Yadav, 26-year-old Birendra Yadav, 23-year-old Dhirendra Yadav, and 32-year-old Lakshminarayan Yadav in the same place on 24 December for the charge of killing 30-year-old Binay Kumar Yadav of Dhanushadham municipality-5, the Executive Editor of the News Bureau. The accused were absconding after the incident. Journalist Binay Kumar Yadav was killed on April 23, 2024, and the aggrieved party filed a complaint regarding the incident on the same day at the District Police Office Dhanusha.
DSP Barun Prasad Singh of the Dhanusha District Police Office stated that, after the accused was arrested, further investigation was underway regarding the incident.
The post-mortem of the body was done on 24 April at the Provincial Hospital, Janakpurdham.
