The district court has sentenced 33-year-old Ramkisan Chaudhary of Barbardia municipality-11 to seven years imprisonment for the crime of raping a 68-year-old woman.
District Court Judge Dalluram Chaudhary’s bench on 23 December decided to sentence him to seven years imprisonment, pay a fine of Rs 3,00,000 and pay compensation of Rs 50,000 as per Information Officer Amrita KC
Aggrieved party filed a complaint at the Area police office, Motipur on 3 february stating that the woman was raped on 28 January 2024. Accused was arrested by the police on 3 February .
The health examination of the victim was done on 3 February at Bardiya Hospital, Gulariya.
