Police arrested 35-year-old Ramchandra KC of Bagchaur Municipality-2 Salyan currently residing at Kirtipur Municipality-8 on October 22, 2024. CIB SP Hobindra Bogati reported that the accused, who was absconding in cases of rape and abortion, was arrested in Panga, Kirtipur Municipality-8.
In the case of rape and abortion, the Surkhet High Court has ruled that KC will be imprisoned for 12 years and 6 months and fined 5,000.
He had been absconding since the District Court Surkhet’s verdict in April 2024. The District Police Office Salyan conducted an investigation and submitted a report against him.
A rape case was registered against KC on 12 June 2020 at District Police Office Salyan.
