Police arrested 19-year-old Subham Karki and 18-year-old Abhiyan Thapa of Ghorahi Sub-metropolitan City-15 on 22 August 2024 for the charge of exploding hydro bomb crackers near the gate of Mahendra Multiple Campus, Ghorahi.
DSP Ram Prasad Timalsina of the District Police Office informed that the accused were arrested while trying to abscond after detonating the bomb on the road near the campus gate at 9 am on August 22. It is reported that they had transported the hydro bomb crackers hidden in a jute sack on a motorcycle with the number Ra 8 Pa 3323.
The campus administration stated that although the explosion caused no damage, it created panic among the students studying on the campus.
