Chetkala Paudel, 64 of Bhumikasthan Municipality-8, Tarakhase Bhusaltol was attempted to be killed by an unknown person on 26 July.
Inspector Dipendra Rawal of the District Police Office informed that the incident occurred when the victim was alone at home. It is reported that an unknown individual entered the house, turned off the electric light meter in the hallway and stabbed her in the face, head, and neck, causing serious injuries.
Inspector Rawal added that the accused absconded leaving a knife, and a hand globe in the crime scene. Additionally, further investigation regarding the incident is being conducted against the accused based on the complaint filed by the victim at the District Police Office on 27 July.
The victim was treated at Arghakhanchi Hospital, Sandhikharka and has been referred to Bhairahawa Medical College, Bhairawa for further treatment.
