Police arrested 38-year-old Tara Bahadur Gharti of Triveni Rural Municipality-1 on July 20 forthe charge of raping a five-year-old girl.
District Police Inspector Resham Bahadur Khatri informed that the aggrieved party filed a complaint at the Area Police Office Luham on July 20 alleging that the accused had raped the girl on June 22 around 2:30 p.m. when she was alone at home.
The health examination of the victim was done on 20 July.
Inspector Khatri said that the incident is under investigation following a five-day extension granted by the district court on July 22.
