Punita Devi Yadav, 49 of Malangwa Municipality-7 Musaili filed a complaint against 32-year-old Santosh Kumar Mahato and 36-year-old Premkala Devi Yadav of the same place for alleging her of practicing witchcraft and beating her.
The victim alleged that the accused physically and verbally abused them on June 18. Additionally, the accused pressured the victim to settle the matter at the ward office of Malangwa Municipality-7 and the judicial committee in Malangwa Municipality on June 23.
The health examination of the victim was conducted from June 19 to 21 at Provincial Hospital, Malangwa, and her injuries were re-examined on July 1.
DSP Dipak Shrestha of the District Police Office, Malangwa, informed that they will investigate the incident and take necessary actions according to the law.
