26-year-old Amrita Kumari Shahi of Tilagufa Municipality-6 filed a complaint at the District Police Office on November 9, alleging that her 29-year-old husband Dipendra Shahi evicted her from her house.
The victim filed a complaint against the accused after the accused Shahi asked her to leave the house on October 30 and threatened to kill her if she did not leave.
The victim reported seeking assistance from the district police office with the support of an INSEC representative, asserting that she was denied basic necessities while residing at home. She further stated that she faced obstruction in obtaining citizenship and was threatened with harm if she continued to stay at home.
Arjun KC, Chief DSP of the District Police Office in Kalikot, stated that investigations are currently underway following the complaint against the accused Shahi.
