Health  Service Disrupted Due To the Absence Of Health Workers in Health Institution

Service holders of Raya Health Post, Kharpunath Rural Municipality-3 are facing challenges as they experience a one-week absence of a health worker in the institution.

Narendra Rawal, a local service holder, complained that the health workers at Raya Health Center did not return to the health institution after the Dashain holiday from October 27. He reported that upon visiting the health center on November 1, seeking assistance for his child having  diarrhea, no health worker was present at the facility

Likewise, another local resident from the same area recounted his visit to the health institution on November 2, where he was compelled to leave without receiving any assistance as he found no health workers on duty.

According to a decision by Kharpunath Rural Municipality on October 20, it was stipulated that all health posts in Kharpunath would maintain their regular services, including emergency services.

Aton Rawal, a local resident, disclosed that the health post is typically staffed with one Health Assistant, two Auxiliary Nurse and Midwife personnel, one Assistant Health Worker, and two office assistants. However, at present, no health worker is available at the health post.

Upon being informed about the absence of health workers and patients being unable to receive assistance, Bishnu Bahadur Shahi, the Chief Administrative Officer of Kharpunath Rural Municipality, stated that he would investigate the matter, noting that he was currently out of the district.

Similarly, when Baliraj Shahi, the Chief of the Rural Municipality health branch was called both his mobile phones were switched off.
