INSEC has provided essential financial assistance to a 73-year-old senior citizen residing in Bhanu Municipality-1, Nayabasti Gandharva Tol. This vulnerable woman has been enduring persistent abuse and domestic violence at the hands of her own son. She had sought refuge in the home of a neighbor after her residence was demolished by the accused on September 29.
The victim was granted immediate financial aid amounting to five thousand rupees in cash. This assistance was administered on October 1, facilitated by the Human Rights Support Room and executed by INSEC’s Tanahun District Representative, Prakash Chandra Bhattarai.
Tulsi Gaihre, a member of the local human rights group in Bhanu, has generously offered her shelter and support during this challenging period.
The victim’s formal request for assistance was submitted to INSEC on October 6.
