On July 23, the police arrested a 22-year-old Sanjay Kahaar, resident of Gaidahawa Rural Municipality-4, from Saryupura on the charge of raping a 17-year-old girl.
The victim had filed a complaint to the Area Police Office, Lumbini on July 22, alleging that the accused had allured her into a relationship and raped her on July 6.
Based on the victim’s statement, the accused was arrested and further investigation is being conducted by Area Police Office, Lumbini, as informed by Inspector Gajendra Raval.
The victim underwent health examination at Bhim Hospital on July 22.
