On July 23, the police apprehended three individuals in connection with the rape of a 35-year-old woman. The arrested individuals were identified as 26-year-old Shivkumar Sada, 45-year-old Umesh Sada, and 32-year-old Srinarayan Sada, all residents of Shambhunath Municipality-5 Mohanpur.
Inspector Subhesh Adhikari stated that the arrests were made following a complaint filed by the victim on July 23. Subsequently, the victim underwent a medical examination at Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital in Rajviraj on the same day.
According to the victim’s account, the incident occurred on the evening of July 22 while she was returning home from her maternal house. She reported being pursued on the road and forcibly taken to a farm in Mohanpur, Shambhunath Municipality-5, where the assault took place.
Two other individuals involved in the incident, 26-year-old Phulkumar Sada and 27-year-old Shivnarayan Sada, both from Shambhunath Municipality-5 Mohanpur, were currently on the run and being sought by the police.
