Police arrested, Maudhkar Khang, 46, alias Bunker, of Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality-5, Koiladi Barsine, was arrested on June 15 on the charge of rape and impregnation of a 17-year-old girl with a developmental disability.
The Local Police Office, Kanchanrup, registered the complaint filed by the victim’s father on March 16, 2023, on March 23. The arrested warrant against the absconding accused was issued on March 26.
The medical examination of the victim was conducted at Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital on March 26. According to the hospital, the victim was four months pregnant then.
The victim said that the accused locked her in the accused’s sister-in-law, Murtidebi Khang’s house, in Tirhut Rural Municipality-2, and raped her repeatedly since October 24, 2022. Murtidebi’s husband Lakshman Khang is in foreign employment. According to the victim, Murtidebi threatened to destroy her life by releasing her video of being raped.
