Police arrested Khadak Malla, 55, of Athaviskot Municipality-14, Jamirekot, on May 17, 2023, on the charge of rape of a 27-year-old woman.
The aggrieved party filed a complaint against the accused at the District Police Office, Rukum West on May 16, accusing him of rape. They alleged that he raped the victim at night when he was attending a wedding at a neighbor’s house, which was near her home.
DSP Namraj Bhattarai, Chief of the District Police Office, informed that the police arrested him based on the complaint. Further investigation is underway.
Doctor Bhimkant Jaisi informed that the victim underwent a health examination on May 17, at District Hospital Salle.
