Police arrested Janaku Chaudhary, 50, of Lamhi Municiplaity-8, on May 14, 2023, on the charge of rape of a five-year-old girl.
The aggrieved party filed a complaint against the accused, on May 13, 2023. The aggrieved party accused Chaudhary of the rape of the victim on January 12, 2023.
The aggrieved party and the accused tried to settle the matter by negotiation within the village and later filed the complaint after the negotiation failed.
DSP Rajan Kumar Gautam of the District Police Office said that the police accused based on the complaint. They have started an investigation.
The victim underwent a health examination on May 14, 2023, at Rapti Institute of Health Sciences, Ghorahi.
