The District Court Sarlahi sentenced Ram Mishra Jha, 36, Malagwa, Municipality-8, to 3 years imprisonment for the crime of rape of a 29-year-old female.
According to the court’s registrar Bishwanath Aryal, Kabi Prasad Neupane, District Court Judge of Sarlahi, fined the accused Rs. 25000 as compensation to the victim along with imprisonment.
The aggrieved party filed a case on January 25, 2022, accusing Mishra of rape on January 2, 2022.
The health examination of the victim girl was done on January 26, 2022.
Registrar Aryal said that the accused is currently under the custody of the district jail Sindhuli for further investigation.
