Police arrested Parashuram Bhandari, 40, of Satyavati Rural Municipality of Gulmi District, on April 28, 2022, from Butwal on the charge of sexual abuse of a 15-year-old girl.
On 15th Baisakh, the guardians of the victim filed a complaint at the Butwal Area Police Office, on April 28, accusing Bhandari of sexually assaulting the victim on April 27.
According to the victim’s family, the accused, a driver in occupation, traveled to Gulmi from Devdah Khairni, on the way, he took the victim to the forest and sexually assaulted her.
DSP Dan Bahadur Thapa of the area police office Butwal said the police arrested the accused based on the complaint.
The health examination of the victim was done on April 28, at Lumbini Provincial Hospital, Butwal.
