The District Police Office arrested five individuals, accused of creating a disturbance in the polling station at the ward office of Piparpati Jabdi, Devtal Rural Municipality-7, on April 23, 2023. The accused were arrested from the polling station.
SP Hovindra Bogti said the accused were arrested, and further investigation is underway. Brijkishore Prasad Yadav , 47, of Rautahat District Boudhimai Municipality-4, Dayaram Raut, 42, of District Rautahat Brindavan Municipality-1, Umesh Kumar Yadav, 25, of Brindavan Municipality-4, Mangal Prasad Sah, 38, of District Bara Prasauni Rural Municipality-4, Devthal Rural Municipality-7 , Ramsagar Yawad, 62, of Piparpati Jabdi were arrested.
Chief Electoral Officer Mukesh Upadhyay said that 50 percent of votes were cast by 3:30 p.m., on April 23. He said the election is done in a clean, fair, and fearless environment. He said that arrangements were made for voters with disability.
