Woman’s Dead Body Found Buried Near Her House

The body of Sharda KC, 41, of Ghorahi Umanpa-12, was found buried near her own house.

A neighbor reported to the police on April 19, that he saw a human leg sticking out of the ditch near the house.

DSP Rajan Kumar Gautam of the District Police Office informed that the decomposed body was excavated by the police and stored at Rapti Institute of Health Sciences Ghorahi for post-mortem.

According to the police, the preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was killed with a sharp weapon.

The daughter of the deceased, Deepa KC, 21, filed a complaint against her father Meghraj KC, 44, and grandmother Bhumakumari Khatri, 67, at the district police office, Dang, on April 20, alleging their involvement in the killing.

According to the police , Meghraj is absconding while his mother Bhuma is at home. Deepa provided evidence that suggests that Meghraj killed his wife and buried her body a planned manner on the night of April 14.

Deepa said that Meghraj had beaten Sharda several times in the past, under the influence of alcohol. She called Sharda on 15 April, but she did not pick up her phone, and later her was switched off. Deepa then went to visit her mother at home, where Megraj told her that Sharda left the house after some dispute with her mother-in-law. Megraj convinced Deepa to not contact the police regarding her mother’s disappearance.

DSP Gautam of the District Police Office said the search for Meghraj was on going, and Bhuma is being interrogated and is under surveillance.
