The district court has sentenced a 16-year-old boy to 12 years and 8 months of imprisonment after finding him guilty of the rape of a 12-year-old girl.
District Court Registrar, Ram Bahadur Kuwwar, informed that the Dench of District Judge Basantaraj Poudel on 12 April 2023 sentenced the boy to imprisonment and ordered him to pay compensation of Rs.50,000 to the victim.
The aggrieved party filed a complaint at the District Police Office on 9 August 2022, stating that the accused raped the victim on 5 August 2022.
The police arrested the accused on 9 August and produced him before the court on 27 August after an investigation.
The health examination of the victim was done on 9 August at Gulmi Hospital Tamghas.
