Life Imprisonment for Accused of Killing, Accomplice Sentenced to 6 Months

District Court Sentenced Ramkumar Sada, 45, living in Sitapur, resident of Agnisair Krishnasavaran Rural Municipality-2 Bhud, to life imprisonment on 9 April 2023, on the charge of the homicide of Haridev Sada, 35, of Rajviraj Municipality-12 Sigyun.

Court officer Dhrub Prasad Niraula said that the bench of District Judge Hark Bahadur Chhetri sentenced the accused with compensation of Rs.250, 000 rupees and Rs. 2,800 rupees to be deposited in the relief fund for victims of criminal offenses.

Similarly, Bhuvaneshwar Prasad Yadav, known as Bouka of Rajviraj Municipality-11, who was an accomplice in the murder case, has been sentenced to 6 months in prison with compensation of Rs. 30,000 and Rs 200  to deposit in the relief fund for victims of criminal offenses.

The aggrieved party filed a complaint at the district police office on 15 February 2022, saying that the accused had beaten him to death on 12 February. The wife of the deceased said that Sada, who was injured due to the beating of the accused, died during treatment.

The district police office registered a complaint on 15 February. Among the accused, Sada was arrested on 29 July. As the charge sheet was filed in the district court on 24 August. The bench of District Judge Dhav Prasad Subedi has detained the accused in Rajviraj Jail since 25 August

Another accused, Yadav, appeared in the district court on 30 January and was released on the same day for preliminary investigation.
