Police registered a complaint against Krishna Tandon, the husband of Savitri Tandon, the guardian of the children’s home of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-1 Shree Ram Jan, on the charge of sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl at District Police Office Chitwan on 21 March 2023.
The girl came forward and complained to the District Police Office, Chitwan on 21 March, against the repeated sexual abuse she suffered.
The girl alleges Krishna Tandon of repeatedly sexually assaulting her from October 2022- 12 March 2023. She left the children’s home on 12 March 2023.
She said that the next day after leaving the ashram, she submitted a written application to the Social Development Division of the Bharatpur Metropolitan City, under the Local Child Welfare Committee. She had been living in the children’s home for the past 11 years.
She said that Tandon sexually abused other children of the same age group. She says that Tandon abused her and her friends at the same time.
The health examination of the victim was done on 21 March at Bharatpur Hospital.
District Police Officer Vijayraj Pandit informed that the accused was arrested on 20 March. The investigation of the case is ongoing.
