The police registered a complaint against Akbar Mian, 50, his wife Hazrunwati Khatun, 48, and their sons Sokat Ali, 30, and Jabed Ali, 28, of Rajviraj Municipality-9 Jagdari Toll, on 26 February in the charge of treating a 40-year-old woman inhumanely, alleging her of being a ‘witch’.
As per the court, the District Police Office registered the complaint following a mandamus order from the High Court Janakpur (Rajbiraj Bench) and an arrest warrant was issued by the District Court against the accused on 26 February.
Victim informed that the accused slandered and beat her in an accusation of being a ‘witch’ on 16 March 2022.
