The district security committee meeting has classified 63 polling stations in the district as highly sensitive.
For the election of members of the House of Representatives and the Province Assembly, the committee has placed 63 of the 167 polling stations in the highly sensitive list.
After reviewing the past elections and the latest local level elections, out of 167 polling stations in Parsa, the committee has listed 63 polling stations as highly sensitive, 85 polling stations as sensitive and 19 polling stations as normal.
Armed Police Troop no. 13 has classified on the basis of political activities in the district, geographical location, communication and accessibility of roads in the local elections. SP Tej Prasad Pokhrel, of Armed Police said that there will be no shortage of security in the district during the elections. For the election, 148 centres in 162 polling stations have been designated in the district.
Pokhrel informed that there were only 402 polling stations in the previous elections, but this time 10 polling stations have been added. He said that polling stations were added based on the suggestions of security agencies and political parties including the Election Commission.
