The District Court of Saptari has ordered six month’s imprisonment to Ajay Kumar Ram,22, of Khadak Municipality- 8 for sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl.
The bench of Judge Suryanath Prakash Adhikari proved him guilty and gave the verdict on July 12 2022. Also, the guilty has been charged with NPR 7,000 as fine.
According to Bharatmani Pokharel, the information officer of the court, it has been decided that Ram will also pay NPR 25000 compensation to the victim.
The victim’s mother filed the complaint in the Area Police Office on November 30, 2021, stating that the victim had sexually abused the victim on October 20, 2021.
The victim was examined in Gyanendra Narayan Singh Hospital, Rajbiraj on November 30.
The arrest warrant against Ram was issued on December 3, 2021. He was arrested December 21. He was released on bail of NPR 40,000 on January 4.
