Police have arrested Bir Bahadur Poudel Chhetri, 41, of Tansen Municipality-5 from Dobhan of Tinaun Municipality-3 on June 2, 2022, on the charges of raping a 19-year-old woman.
The victim lodged a complaint at the District Police Office on June 1 alleging that the accused raped her on May 31. The victim and the accused are co-workers and he took her to a nearby waiting room at night and raped her.
Inspector Gautam Bohora of the District Police Office said that the accused was arrested on the basis of the victim’s complaint.
The victim has been examined at Palpa Hospital on June 1.
