A man has been arrested for allegedly subjecting a 50-year-old woman to inhuman treatment after accusing her of witchcraft in Kalinchok Rural Municipality–2.
Police arrested Rajiv Thami, 35, of the same ward on June 30, 2026, for allegedly accusing Tulamaya Thami, 30, of being a witch.
According to the complaint filed by the victim at the District Police Office on July 3, Rajiv allegedly made the accusation on June 29 while she had gone to a paddy field for rice planting.
