Police arrested Chabilal Tharu, 37, of Bandganga Municipality-2, on June 28, from his residence on charges of raping a nine-year-old girl.
The victim’s family filed a complaint at the Area Police Office, Bandganaga, on June 28, accusing Tharu of sexually abusing the victim on May 17.
The victim underwent a medical examination on June 28 at Pipara Hospital, Pipara.
